Application
2-Methyltetrahydrofuran (2-MeTHF) is an important biogasoline fuel, high-end environmentally friendly solvent and chemical intermediate, belonging to fine chemical materials in the field of new materials and applications.
1. 2-Methyltetrahydrofuran is the main raw material for the synthesis of chloroquine phosphate and primaquine phosphate;
2. 2-Methyltetrahydrofuran is used as a green solvent, can replace tetrahydrofuran as a Grignard reaction solvent, can also replace solvents such as benzene, toluene, chloroform, etc., and is widely used in the synthesis of fragrances, new materials, etc.;
3. 2-Methyltetrahydrofuran can also be used in automotive fuel additives. When used as biogasoline fuel, it can be miscible with gasoline in any proportion, and has excellent properties such as oxidation and vapor pressure.
4. In the pharmaceutical industry, it is used to synthesize anti-disease drugs such as primaquine phosphate.
