CCMT2024, China’s largest machine tool exhibition was grandly opened!

MT2024 exhibition is held in the context of the increasing complexity, severity and uncertainty of the external environment, China’s economy has entered a new stage of development, accelerating the construction of a new development pattern and promoting high-quality development, and it is also one of the most important business activities in the industry this year. The government work report will “vigorously promote the construction of a modern industrial system and accelerate the development of new quality productivity” as the primary key task in 2024. It is proposed to promote industrial innovation with scientific and technological innovation, accelerate the promotion of new industrialization, and constantly shape the development of new kinetic energy and new advantages; Recently, large-scale equipment renovations and trade-ins of consumer goods are being promoted…… These not only point out the way forward for the manufacturing industry, but also bring new demand and development momentum to the machine tool industry, and will enhance the determination and confidence of the high-quality development of the machine tool industry.

In 2023, China’s total production of metal processing machine tools will reach US$27.39 billion, total consumption will reach US$25.71 billion, and total import and export will reach US$13.88 billion. China is still the world’s largest machine tool producer, the world’s largest machine tool importer and the world’s largest machine tool consumer market, China’s machine tool market demand is still fundamental, the future still has a large enough capacity.
Founded in Shanghai in 2000, the China CNC Machine Tool Exhibition (CCMT) is held every even-numbered year, and is the sister exhibition of the China International Machine Tool Show (CIMT), with an exhibition area of 15,800 square meters from the first to 120,000 square meters of the CCMT2018 exhibition. Affected by the epidemic, CCMT will be suspended for two sessions in 2020 and 2022, and the CCMT2024 will be held again after a gap of 6 years, so it has been more eagerly expected by the domestic and foreign machine tool industry, upstream and downstream manufacturers and users of the industrial chain. It is particularly noteworthy that this exhibition used all 17 indoor exhibition halls of Shanghai New International Expo Center for the first time, with a total exhibition area of 200,000 square meters, making it the largest machine tool professional exhibition held in China and even Asia so far.
This year’s exhibition continues to follow the theme of “Focus – Digital, Connected and Intelligent Manufacturing”, reflecting that the global machine tool industry is moving towards a broader future with a firmer pace and a clearer direction.
