Application
Tetrahydrofuran can be explosive when mixed with air; it can form explosive peroxide in the air, which is flammable in case of open flame, high temperature and oxidant; burning produces irritating fumes. Tetrahydrofuran can be stored in a sealed vial with sodium hydroxide in a dark place.
