Performance and application

Soluble in water, strong hydrolysis in water to make the aqueous solution strongly alkaline, soluble in its own crystal water at 57 °C, in the air can absorb carbon dioxide and generate borax and sodium carbonate. It is used in photographic medicine, textile post-processing, binders, detergents, preservatives, flame retardants, magnesium oxide water release, and in agriculture as a herbicide. It is used for texture chemical etching and electrolytic etching of aluminum alloys, and is also used for the addition of other plating pretreatments.
