It is light yellow powdery crystal, stable at normal temperature and pressure, melting point 160℃ (decomposition), relative density 2.28. Loss of crystal water at 142℃ under vacuum. Solubility in cold water is 0.22g/100g and in hot water is 0.026g/100g, which can be dissolved in cold salt solution. Insoluble in water, slowly soluble in cold hydrochloric acid.

Usage

It's used as analytic reagent, developer and it could also be used in pharmacy and the production of Lithium Ferrous Phosphate (a new type of battery material).

It should be stored in a dry and ventilative warehouse, kept away from heat and moisture during transportation, unloaded with care so as to avoid damage. Furthermore, it must be stored separately from poisonous substances.
