White deliquescent hexagonal crystals, toxic. Easy delisting. Can sublimate, corrosive to glass, heat or hot water that decomposition. Soluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohol. The aqueous solution is highly acidic, corrosive to glass and corrosive to skin. It is prepared by introducing gaseous ammonia into 40% hydrofluoric acid, cooling and precipitation crystallization.

Usage
